GREENVIEW REGIONAL MULTIPLEX

By providing funding opportunities to non-profit organizations and qualifying individuals, Greenview Regional Multiplex strives to encourage the continued development of a healthy community for everyone.

Rental Subsidy & Equipment Subsidy: is to be utilized for capital projects and/or operational support to non-profit organizations specific to the use of the Greenview Regional Multiplex.

Low-Income Subsidy: the Recreation Fee Assistance Program was created to ensure all residents have access to Leisure, Recreation, and Fitness opportunities. We value providing socially inclusive programs to each individual and family in the Municipal District of Greenview. Providing this program to eligible participants removes financial barriers while enhancing community and family connections.

Applications are located in the Application Forms Tab or picked up in person at the Greenview Regional Multiplex.

Rental Subsidy

$8000 per year allotted.  40% off rental rates in the Greenview Regional Multiplex (does not include damage deposits).

  • Must be a non-profit organization to use the Greenview Regional Multiplex.
  • The non-profit organizations located within the boundaries of the M.D. of Greenview are deemed eligible. They may make an application to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board for funding support by way of a grant application.
  • The Greenview Regional Multiplex will review the grant applications and award funding as per the board’s discretion based upon the need and merit outlined by the applicant in the grant application.
  • The Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board will be the sole governing body in awarding grants from the Greenview Regional Multiplex Recreational Trust Fund.
  • The applicant will be required to produce the financials of the event or program with the application of the trust fund.
  • The applicant must provide a written letter explaining how a subsidy will improve the applicant’s event/program. The letter must also provide how a subsidy will affect the participants of the event/program.
  • The grant funds shall be used for only those purposes for which the application was made.
  • The grant applicant will provide a written report outlining the program’s success, produce financial accounting of the grant fund awarded and verify expenditures to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Facility Manager within 90 days of completion of the grant expenditure. Failure to provide such a report may result in no further grant funding being considered until the final report is filed and the grant expenditure verified.
  • The grant applicant will return any unused portion of the grant funds to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board or request approval from the Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board to use the fund for an optional project.

Equipment Subsidy

$4000 per year allotted.  35% of equipment costs will be covered by the Greenview Regional Multiplex Trust Fund Grant if approved.

  • Must be a non-profit organization to use the Greenview Regional Multiplex.
  • The non-profit organizations located within the boundaries of the M.D. of Greenview are deemed eligible. They may make applications to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board for funding support through a grant application.
  • The Greenview Regional Multiplex will review the grant applications and award funding as per the Board’s discretion based upon the need and merit outlined by the applicant in the grant application.
  • The Greenview Regional Multiplex Advisory Board will be the sole governing body in awarding grants from the Greenview Regional Multiplex Recreational Trust Fund.
  • The grant funds shall be used for only those purposes for which the application was made.
  • Provide proof that the organization has applied for funding with other grants OR has done fundraising.
  • The applicant will provide a written letter explaining the benefits of the new equipment to the club/organization, with a quote from the vendor and an executed plan of storage in the Greenview Regional Multiplex.
  • The grant applicant will provide a written report outlining the program’s success, produce financial accounting of the grant fund awarded, and verify expenditures to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Facility Manager within 90 days of completion of the grant expenditure. Failure to provide such a report may result in no further grant funding being considered until the final report is filed and the grant expenditure verified.

Low-Income Subsidy

$10,000 per year to applicants that are eligible for a subsidy based on the Greenview Regional Multiplex Recreational Trust Fund Guidelines.

  • The individual is located within the boundaries of the M.D. of Greenview are deemed eligible if they fit the following criteria:

  • Applicants must provide a copy of the following to the Greenview Regional Multiplex Facility Manager: NOA or T4 or direct deposit slip, Proof of ID and living situation (utility bill) for all people who are in the household.
  • Children will be given a Kid Sport or Canadian Tire Jump Start application. If denied through either of these grants, applicants must bring proof that they have been denied.
  • Upon approval: a 75% discount will be given to the applicant for a 3-month membership. The applicant MUST use the facility at least 12 times in the 3 months.
  • To reapply, the Greenview Regional Multiplex Facility Manager will be required to review the facility usage and revisit the application process.
