FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Grande Cache Recreation Centre Ammonia Refrigeration Equipment Tender Awarded The Grande Cache Recreation Centre is equipped with an ice arena and a four (4) sheet curling rink initially constructed in 1970. Since then, the artificial ice plant has seen several upgrades, including conversion from R22 refrigerant. During a routine seasonal shutdown inspection, a brine leak was discovered in a portion of the refrigeration equipment. This contract consists of clearing of right of way, excavation and placement, installation of culverts, erosion control measures, gravel surfacing and clearing of next phase.
