Little Smoky Public Engagement
Greenview invites community members to a Public Engagement session on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Little Smoky Community Centre. This session is being held to discuss the proposed development of a formal day-use area on the Municipal Reserve (NE 24-66-22-W5) located on the west edge of the Hamlet of Little Smoky. We look forward to meeting with the community to discuss the proposed plans and to receive any feedback you may have.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sturgeon Lake Area Structure Plan Approved After a lengthy review of the Sturgeon Lake Area Structure Plan, Council gave First Reading to Bylaw 20-865 on December 9, 2020. A Public Hearing was held on February 9, 2021, where Council heard both written concerns and concerns from affected parties in attendance regarding the draft plan. Construction Work – Hamlet of Grovedale
Construction crews are on site completing deficiency work in the Hamlet of Grovedale. Crews will be moving onto remediation of the entrance to the post office next week and are anticipating completion by the end of July. Please be cautious and reduce speeds when travelling through the area to help keep crews and the public safe.

Property Assessment Inspections – Grande Cache
Property Assessment Inspections will be taking place in the Grande Cache area from July 26 - 28, 2021. Assessors will be driving a white truck with Greenview decals on the sides and can provide Greenview identification if requested. Highway 40 Road Construction Traffic Delays
The Highway 40 twinning project includes construction of a second bridge over the Wapiti River, which will result in a partial closure of access to and from Highway 666. Traffic impacts: There will be no access for traffic to enter Highway 40 northbound/southbound from Highway 666. Motorists will detour to Township Road 700 to access Highway 40 northbound/southbound.
