Who do these bans apply to?
These restrictions generally apply to heavy loads and, therefore, are of most significant concern to truckers. However, if you have any questions about transporting goods or products or if you observe any activities which have the potential of damaging a roadway, please call 780-524-7602.
How do I know which roads are banned?
All road bans will be advertised. Radio and written notifications are typically done. Most roads are not posted, but bans are likely still in effect. There are a minimal number of exceptions to the road bans.
Road Bans
The M.D. may enter into an agreement for a permit with individuals or organizations for the transportation of heavy loads during road ban conditions. This agreement is applicable only during road ban season, and security is usually required. A greater focus on the enforcement of bans has been initiated.
