2022 Scentless Chamomile Picking Program
Non-Profit groups in the Hamlet of Grande Cache and surrounding Co-ops and Enterprises are eligible for an incentive ($/bag) for the hand pulling of scentless chamomile (Tripleurospermum inodorum) plants. Bags will be provided by the MD of Greenview Grande Cache Agricultural Services/Beautification Office - NO SUBSTITUTE BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED (they are clear so we can easily see the bag contents of scentless chamomile). Update June 6, 2022: Wood Restriction has been lifted at Grande Cache Landfill & Greenview Transfer Stations The Fire Advisories have been lifted in the Edson, Grande Prairie, Whitecourt and Slave Lake Forest Management Areas and wood is now being accepted at all Greenview Transfer Stations as well as the Grande Cache Landfill. Environmental Services has organized a day to help clean-up the entrance into the Landfill. Plastic bags have blown everywhere and it is quite a site! We are looking for Volunteers to help out!
