The Municipal District includes the hamlets of Little Smoky, Ridgevalley, DeBolt, Landry Heights, Grande Cache and Grovedale. Our borders encompass the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and the towns of Fox Creek, and Valleyview, while Grande Prairie is our neighbour to the west. Serviced by Highways 40, 43 and 49, railways and a major airport in Grande Prairie, transportation is convenient and efficient.

Grande Cache Recreation Centre

The Grande Cache Recreation Centre is home to a first-class aquatic centre, hockey arena, curling rink, fitness centre, climbing cave, meeting and party rooms, and a variety of great sport, fitness and community programs for all ages.

Effective Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:00 am, the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 will update its road bans. All Greenview gravel roads, including the Forestry Trunk Road, will be at 75% axle weight in the absence of frost conditions – and at 100% axle weight during frost conditions until further notice.
