As of May 9,2021, the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 has been added to the list of High Case Regions (COVID-19 High Case Regions). New mandatory health measures on outdoor social gatherings, retail, restaurants, places or worship, personal and wellness services, outdoor sports and fitness, funerals and schools began on May 5, 2021. Grovedale Area – Power Outages and Power Line Work

ATCO will be be working on the power line between the Landry Heights turn off to the old Grovedale store to make this portion of line more reliable. Work will commence May 10 and hopefully be wrapped up by May 21. ATCO will have traffic control for a large portion of the project as it progresses. Effective May 5, additional public health restrictions came into effect for regions with at least 50 cases per 100,000 people, and at least 30 active cases. Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Hazard Reduction Burning

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry along with the Sturgeon Lake Fire Department will begin a hazard reduction burn in the community of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Burning will continue until the weather permits or the burn is complete. Every spring, firefighters burn areas of dead dry grass around the community.
