UPDATED: Wood Ban – Grande Cache Landfill & Greenview Transfer Stations
August 26, 2021 - The Fire Advisories have been lifted and wood is now being accepted at all Greenview Transfer Stations as well as the Grande Cache Landfill. Due to the present Fire Advisories in the Edson Forest Area and the Grande Prairie Forest Area, there is a wood ban at the Grande Cache Landfill as well as all Greenview Transfer Stations until further notice. Greenview Recreation Facility Update
The MD of Greenview is thrilled to have both facilities open and available to the public. Unfortunately, things haven't been going as planned due to the pandemic and layoffs. Because of the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, Greenview temporarily laid off staff when the province mandated COVID-19 closures back in December of 2020. Water Ban – Valleyview Rural Water Line
UPDATE: Effective September 1, 2021, the Town of Valleyview has removed the water ban previously put in place. Little Smoky Public Engagement
Greenview invites community members to a Public Engagement session on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Little Smoky Community Centre. This session is being held to discuss the proposed development of a formal day-use area on the Municipal Reserve (NE 24-66-22-W5) located on the west edge of the Hamlet of Little Smoky. Construction Work – Hamlet of Grovedale
Construction crews are on site completing deficiency work in the Hamlet of Grovedale. Crews will be moving onto remediation of the entrance to the post office next week and are anticipating completion by the end of July. Please be cautious and reduce speeds when travelling through the area to help keep crews and the public safe.
Property Assessment Inspections – Grande Cache
Property Assessment Inspections will be taking place in the Grande Cache area from July 26 - 28, 2021. Assessors will be driving a white truck with Greenview decals on the sides and can provide Greenview identification if requested. Highway 40 Road Construction Traffic Delays
The Highway 40 twinning project includes construction of a second bridge over the Wapiti River, which will result in a partial closure of access to and from Highway 666.
