Highway 43 Reopening | 4 PM | May 21, 2023- Between Valleyview and Fox Creek
Alberta Transportation Update: Highway 43 North and South bound will be opening at 4:00 pm with a speed reduction to 80 km/hr between Valleyview and Fox Creek. Active Wildfire crews and Utility repair crews will be working along the highway. Please slow to 60 km /hr when passing crews. BEWARE of Fire-Damaged Trees Still Standing! Please be aware of the dangers in areas where trees are still standing, both during and after wildfire activity. Highway 43 Closure – PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS AND DON’T USE GOOGLE MAPS!
Please do not use Google Maps to find alternate routes around Fox Creek, AB and Little Smoky, AB, on Highway 43 due to active wildfires in the area that impact both sides of this corridor. Google may take you in a dangerous direction!
