Advisory - This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. MD of Greenview has updated a Wildfire Alert. Effective May 24, 2023 -12:00 pm Area: The Evacuation Order remains in effect for areas south along Highway 43 to Highway 947, including Townships to the west and southwest. Highway 43 Reopening | 4 PM | May 21, 2023- Between Valleyview and Fox Creek

Alberta Transportation Update: Highway 43 North and South bound will be opening at 4:00 pm with a speed reduction to 80 km/hr between Valleyview and Fox Creek. Active Wildfire crews and Utility repair crews will be working along the highway. Please do not use Google Maps to find alternate routes around Fox Creek, AB and Little Smoky, AB, on Highway 43 due to active wildfires in the area that impact both sides of this corridor.
