The Grande Cache Wastewater Treatment Facility is completing repairs on the existing clarifier between June 13, 2021 and July 14, 2021.

Greenview will be required to temporarily shut down the Wastewater Treatment Facility overnight on June 16 and 17 between 8:00 pm – 8:00 am to isolate the clarifier for repairs. During this period, we are asking everyone to reduce their wastewater.  Wastewater is any water that has been contaminated by human use.  Households produce wastewater from toilets, sinks, dishwashers, washing machines, bath tubs, and showers.  We encourage residents to reduce the use of these items on June 16th and 17th between 8:00 pm – 8:00 am (on both days) to aid in our repair.

Here are some ways to reduce waste water consumption June 16 & 17 between 8:00 pm – 8:00 am:

  • Only run your dishwasher or washing machine when they are full
  • Flush toilet only when necessary
  • Take quick showers

Safety is our priority. We also ask that residents avoid this area during construction for the protection and safety of our workers.

Updates will be provided on our website at mdgreenview.ab.ca and on our Grande Cache, MD of Greenview Facebook page.
