E360 has advised us that the last batch of curbside recycling picked up in Grande Cache had significant contamination.
When a bin of recycling is contaminated, the whole bin of recycling is considered unusable and is thrown away into landfills. Therefore, contamination can undermine the good recycling habits of others and cause recyclable items to end up in landfills. Our goal is for our recycling to end up at Edson Recycling Centre and not in the Grande Cache Landfill.
Please remember to place only the following acceptable recycling items in blue bags:
- NO glass or organic materials
- NO food stuck in containers
