Greenview would like to congratulate all nominees, but is especially proud of those nominees who call Greenview home!

Sebastian Anderson
Sebastian is a sledge hockey player for the Wolverines. Though the team has not been able to compete due to the pandemic, we have seen Sebastian’s abilities grow so much as a sledge hockey player. His knowledge of the game has grown leaps and bounds. He enjoys playing and learning from his teammates. He is called the Wolverines Hype-Man, as he is always cheering them on and getting them fired up for games.  He never complains, always gives 100% and continually inspires others to do the same. Sebastian’s accomplishments may be personal in practices, but his dedication to improvement is something we should all strive for!

Kale Kobe
Kale is a valuable team player with a great attitude who always puts his team first. In 2021 he tried out for the Arctic Winter Games hockey team. Kale plays hockey for the Valleyview U18 Ice Bears hockey team and was tied in first place for points in his hockey league.

Miya Dreyer
Miya is very athletic; on top of her passion for snowboarding, she participates in almost every school sport. She qualified for a spot at Arctic Winter Games with a first place for speed and third for air in tryouts and, unfortunately, was unable to compete due to the games being postponed. Miya is very outgoing and enjoys spreading her passion for the sport through coaching young kids.

Keegan Johnson
Keegan embodies the disciplined and professional spirit required of officials. He infuses professionalism and intensity into every aspect of his officiating. As a level 4 official, he has officiated Junior ‘B’ Provincials, Junior ‘A’ showcase camps, and elite tournaments such as the MAC’s, Alberta Cup, and the Ivan Hlinka Cup. He loves instructing online courses and helping individuals start the same journey and has helped the world of officiating grow in the Peace Region for the past eight years.  Throughout the shutdown, he continued to put in the work, so he was ready when the hockey world received the green light.

Mike Irla
From his lifetime commitment to hockey, whether as a coach, mentor, official, parent or instructor to his involvement with the Arctic Games, Mike is a sport builder in the Valleyview Area.  He is a certified official and official clinic instructor, but the training doesn’t end in the classroom as he is also a mentor to the new officials.  Mike has always found some way to be involved and has never been afraid to wear more than 1 volunteer hat at a time. He has put countless volunteer hours in to ensure hockey in Valleyview continued to grow over the years.
