Update #2 – May 11, 2024 – 3:20 pm
Wildfire GCU 007 travelled 12.8 km yesterday in an eastward direction crossing the Smoky River on Friday May 10, 2024. The fire is approximately 1 km on the other side of the river in the North Goodwin Area. The fire has not reached farmland and is currently in the valley. Area residents should stay alert for local updates for more information. Residents should be aware that much of the smoke in the area is coming from wildfires burning in Northern BC.
