Greenview Announces Fundraiser Recipients for 2022 Annual Sporting Clay Shoot
Greenview Council will once again host the popular 2022 Annual Sporting Clay Shoot on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Last year’s event raised $50,000, split into five equal donations and distributed to the five food banks that service Greenview residents. Council voted unanimously to select the Fox Creek, Valleyview, DeBolt, Grande Prairie (Grovedale), and Grande Cache food banks as the donation recipients for this year’s fundraising stakeholder event. This motion will allow Greenview administration to commence with invitations and sponsorship opportunities announcing this year’s donation recipients.

Women’s Day 2022 Event in Falher, Alberta gets Greenview Support
Northern Rural Chicks is a newly developed non-profit organization providing learning and growth opportunities and various supports for Women in Rural Northern Alberta. Northern Rural Chicks is hosting their first 2022 Women’s Day Event on April 9, 2022. This event is geared towards women in Northern Alberta with key speakers on various topics, including farming and mental health. The event will also provide a networking opportunity for women from Greenview and surrounding communities, and it is anticipated that 350 women will attend. Council approved a sponsorship of $2,000.00 to the organization for the 2022 Women’s Day event hosted in Falher, Alberta, on April 9, 2022, with funds to come from the Community Services Miscellaneous Grant Budget.

Greenview Supports Town of Fox Creek Alberta Community Partnership Grant Application
The Town of Fox Creek has submitted an application to the Government of Alberta for the Alberta Community Partnership Grant (ACP) for funds to complete a Transportation Infrastructure Master Plan Project. There is no financial contribution required from Greenview. However, Fox Creek requires a motion of Council for the application to be considered. The project’s main goal is for the Town to develop a street replacement program that will allow for proper planning and budgeting in the coming year.
