Provincial Evacuation Payment

Alberta’s evacuation payment is meant to ease the costs of being away from your primary home due to an evacuation order during a disaster. It is one-time funding to help pay for immediate housing needs and day-to-day purchases such as groceries, gas, and more. It is not intended as income replacement.

Greenview aims to reduce the economic impact on its ratepayers, ensuring that they are not unduly burdened by the financial consequences of mandatory evacuations. This support can help ease the stress and financial strain experienced by residents during wildfire emergencies, allowing them to focus on their safety and well-being without worrying about the associated costs.

The Reimbursement Service is a Greenview initiative to promote the resilience and financial security of its community members during times of crisis, demonstrating a commitment to their welfare and safety. However, it’s important to note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and eligibility and the extent of coverage may vary based on individual circumstances and program guidelines.

  • An Expense Reimbursement Form is required for any Reimbursement.
  • Please provide all receipts; if receipts for Meals can not be provided, please fill out the Lost Receipt Form
  • Note: For accommodations, you must have receipts.

Please note: All forms will be reviewed before being processed. Incomplete applications can result in being declined. The applicant will receive a notification of the decision. Greenview may reach out to the applicant using the contact information provided on the Expense Reimbursement Form. There is no guarantee all costs will be covered.

Options to receive approved payment:

  1. Cheque via mail
  2. EFT payment (must complete EFT form and provide a VOID Cheque)
