Effective October 2024: Check out the latest updates to the Grande Cache Community Transportation Service!

While the regular community bus is out of service due to mechanical issues, a full-sized Expedition with room for four passengers is stepping in to keep things running smoothly! Although this temporary solution isn’t wheelchair accessible, it will continue to provide service until a new bus arrives in 2025.

Need to head out for an adventure? Have a medical appointment in Grande Prairie or Hinton? Or would you like a ride to the Grande Prairie airport? The service offers the following options:

  • On Tuesdays, enjoy a one-way or round trip to Grande Prairie.
  • On Thursdays, take advantage of easy travel to Hinton.
  • Every Wednesday, there’s free pick-up and drop-off for Co-op & Enterprise residents and free transportation for Grande Cache residents to shop locally.

WEEKLY TRIPS INCLUDE:

  • To Grande Prairie (every Tuesday) Meet at Grande Cache Recreation Centre at 8:15 am to depart at 8:30 am
    • Depart Recreation Centre: 8:30 am  |  Depart Grande Prairie: 3:00 pm
    • All bookings require 24-hour advance notice to guarantee a spot.
    • Must call the Grande Cache Recreation Centre at 780-827-2446 before 5:00 pm the day before to book.  
    • Cost:  Round trip to Grande Prairie = $50.00 or One way to Grande Prairie = $35.00
  • To Hinton (every Thursday)
    • Depart Recreation Centre: 8:30 am  |  Depart Hinton: 3:00 pm
    • All bookings require 24-hour advance notice to guarantee a spot.
    • Must call 780-827-2446 before 5:00 pm the day before your trip to Hinton to book.  
    • Cost:  Round trip to Hinton = $50.00 or One way to Hinton= $35.00
  • Co-Ops, Enterprises pick-up and return & Around Grande Cache Shopping (every Wednesday)
