Greenview provides recycling opportunities across the municipality to support waste reduction and responsible material recovery. Services vary by community and may include community recycling bins at transfer stations or other public locations, recycling opportunities at landfill sites, and curbside collection in select areas.
Residents are encouraged to review community-specific recycling information to confirm available services, accepted materials, and preparation requirements before visiting a recycling site or placing materials for collection.
Community Recycling Bin Locations
Community recycling bins are available in several Greenview communities. Depending on the community, bins may be located at transfer stations or other designated public locations such as community facilities.
Recycling bin locations currently include:
- Grovedale
- DeBolt
- Crooked Creek
- Sunset House
- Little Smoky
- New Fish Creek
- Grande Cache
Curbside Blue Bin Grande Cache Recycling Collection
Grande Cache residents receive bi-weekly curbside recycling collection, with service provided every other Monday. Recycling services are delivered through Circular Materials as part of Alberta’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program.
Under this program, residential recycling collection is funded by producers of packaging and paper products. As a result, residents do not pay a municipal fee for curbside recycling services.
Please ensure the following:
✅ Recycling bins are placed curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day and remain accessible until collection has occurred
✅ Ensure materials are clean, dry and properly prepared
✅Flatten cardboard to reduce bin overflow

Circular Materials has arecycling mobile app for the residents in the Hamlet of Grande Cache. The app will provide:

✅ Material search tool
✅ Service alerts & updates

Grande Cache Commercial Recycling Pickup
Beginning Tuesday, May 20, 2025, commercial recycling pickup will now occur on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays.

Bottle Binge Depot at The Grande Cache Landfill Information
The Bottle Binge Depot at the Grande Cache Transfer Station allows residents to donate refundable containers to support local non‑profit organizations. Environmental Services invites non‑profits to apply to receive donated bottles for fundraising purposes.
