Moody’s Crossing

Moody’s Crossing is located on the East side of the Smoky River at the Highway 43 bridge.

Directions: From Grande Prairie, east on Highway 43, for 41 km, then right on Township Road 721A, keep right at the fork to Township 722A.

Moody’s Crossing opened in late Spring 2019 and consists of 16 large campsites that include picnic tables and fire pits (no hookups) on a first come first serve basis.  There is no fee to camp but self-registration is in effect.   Moody’s crossing Gaboury Loop has several garbage/recycle containments placed throughout and has 2 handicap accessible outhouse facilities.  There is firewood provided. The day-use area consists of a fishing cleaning station, garbage Molok, and a handicap accessible outhouse.  Moody’s Crossing has informal river access for fishing and boating and contains a large parking area located in the day-use section. 

 

Potential Future Upgrades:

  • Phase 2 Camp Loop expansion of 18 more campsites.
