Feed testing is a valuable management tool that can help livestock producers understand the nutritional quality of their feed and make informed feeding decisions.
Through the Peace Country Beef & Forage Association Feed Testing Program, producers can use test results to:
Develop more balanced rations Identify potential nutrient deficiencies Reduce unnecessary feed and supplement costs Support livestock health and productivity
Feed quality can vary from year to year, and even between fields or bales. Testing helps take the guesswork out of your feeding program.
Did you know that PCBFA members receive two free basic tests annually as part of their membership? Not a PCBFA member? That’s ok! Feed tests can still be submitted and will be billed at cost.
Samples are shipped directly from Valleyview every Monday.
Need equipment? Greenview has a hay sampler available through the Agriculture rental program!
