In this fun video, you will learn how to identify priority weeds in Greenview, why they matter, and what to do if you spot them.
Invasive and noxious weeds can reduce forage, impact agricultural productivity, harm native vegetation, and create long-term management challenges across Greenview.
Greenview has established various assistance programs that ratepayers can choose to access to help control or destroy these plants.
Visit the Agricultural Services Page for full details: Click Here – Greenview Agricultural Services
On an annual basis, Agricultural Services conducts weed inspections throughout Greenview for species identified under the Weed Control Act as a specific threat to market access, agricultural economic success, or potential environmental damage. Inspectors will leave a door hanger or make a call to inform those affected by infestations and offer assistance aimed at long-term control.
If you notice any of the species or think you may have discovered a newly introduced species in our area, please give us a call at 780-524-7621, and we would be happy to assist with identification and/or control options.

Did you know you can pick up the Invasive Plants of Alberta pocket booklet at any of the Greenview Public Service Buildings for free? It is a small-sized booklet ideal for taking outside in your yard.
