Public Notice – Sewer Flushing Notice:
Beginning August 10, 2026, our Environmental Services team will be conducting sewer flushing operations in the industrial areas and north side of Grande Cache (north of Hoppe Avenue & Shand Avenue).
This maintenance program is expected to continue throughout the week and may extend into the following week. Residents can expect to see a hydrovac truck operating in the area during this time.
To help minimize any inconvenience, please take the following precautions:
- Keep toilet lids closed when not in use to help prevent minor splashing.
- Refill plumbing traps after flushing activities are completed by pouring water into infrequently used basement floor drains, and sinks. This helps maintain a water seal and prevent sewer odours from entering your home.
- Ensure plumbing vent stacks are clear and free of obstructions to allow proper airflow through your plumbing system.
