Did you know that Greenview has a Riparian and Agricultural Sustainability Support Program (G.R.A.S.S)?
This support is designed to assist producers in increasing environmental sustainability in agricultural production. Greenview recognizes that mitigating negative environmental impact caused by agricultural operations can have a financial burden that producers should not have to face alone. With this program, Greenview producers can partner with the Greenview Agricultural Services Department through a cost-sharing arrangement for activities or projects that benefit the environment in agricultural use.
The project will be cost-shared, with 50% of funding supplied by Greenview, to a maximum of $5000 per project. All projects must demonstrate an environmental need and enhance or protect riparian or environmentally sensitive areas from negative agricultural impacts.
