Help Shape the Future of Greenview
The Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 is developing a new Municipal Development Plan (MDP). This plan will guide how land is subdivided, where infrastructure is built, how industry and employment areas grow, and how our communities develop over the coming decades.
A steering committee is a group which helps guide a project by providing advice, sharing local knowledge, and reviewing key ideas along the way. The committee will include 5 public members and 5 elected officials from alternating wards across Greenview, working together to ensure perspectives from across the municipality help shape a strong, community-wide planning framework.
Why Get Involved
A Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is a long-term planning document that guides how a municipality grows and develops. It sets the community’s vision for land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental protection, helping council and administration make consistent decisions about future development.
Who Can Apply
We encourage residents who live in one of the five Steering Committee Areas to apply if they have an interest in long‑term community planning, are willing to participate in meetings and workshops, and want to contribute to decisions that will shape Greenview’s future.
Your lived experience in your community is an important asset. No planning background is required.
Time Commitment
The Steering Committee will operate throughout the MDP development process, with periodic workshops and review sessions over an anticipated 12 to 18 month term.
This is an opportunity for residents to contribute directly to decisions that will shape Greenview’s future.
Deadline to apply is April 22, 2026
