Greenview is beginning work on a new Municipal Development Plan (MDP)—a long-term, strategic document that will guide how our communities grow and evolve over the coming decades.
An MDP provides a comprehensive vision for the future. It helps shape decisions about land use, development, infrastructure, transportation, economic growth, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that growth is coordinated, sustainable, and aligned with community priorities.
Project Overview
Greenview will be working with a third-party planning consultant to develop the new Municipal Development Plan. The project is anticipated to take place from 2026 through 2027.
This process will include:
- Background research and analysis
- Community and interested party engagement
- Steering Committee direction
- Drafting policies and future land use direction
- Review and refinement of the plan
- Final adoption by Council
