If you’re considering putting your name forward for Council in the upcoming municipal election, this Pre-Election Candidate Workshop is designed for you.

This is not a public forum — it’s a focused session for individuals who are genuinely considering running for elected office and want to understand what it truly entails.

Workshop Highlights:

  • What it means to serve as an elected official
  • The time commitment, roles, and responsibilities of Council members
  • Expectations around conduct, decision-making, and governance
  • The do’s and don’ts of life on Council
  • How to navigate the Council-Administration relationship
  • Tools to help you decide if running is right for you — and to be better prepared if you do
