What is a Certificate of Compliance?
The purpose of a Certificate of Compliance is to ensure that buildings are located on your property within the established guidelines of Land Use Bylaw No. 18-800.
Any development constructed after July 1, 1994 for which a development permit has not been issued will be considered non-conforming. A certificate of compliance will not be issued until an approved development permit has been obtained.
What are the fees for a Certificate of Compliance?
Fees for a Certificate of Compliance are subject to Greenview’s current Schedule of Fees Bylaw upon a written request to the planning and development department.
How to request a Certificate of Compliance
To request a Certificate of Compliance, you must submit one (1) original Real Property Report (RPR) dated no more than six (6) months from the date of the request along with the required fee. Should your RPR be dated more than six (6) months from the date of application for a Certificate of Compliance, you must provide, along with the RPR, a Statutory Declaration indicating any and/or no changes, additions, alterations to the land and/or building(s) when compared to the RPR. Real Property Reports that are older than 2 years will NOT be accepted.
