Northwestern Polytechnic receives Sponsorship for the 37th Annual Presidents Ball
The President’s Ball is an annual event hosted to raise funds for Northwestern Polytechnic and bring donors, friends, and alumni together for an evening of celebration of student and staff achievements. Greenview Council approved a $5,000.00 Live Auction Sponsor package in support of this event, which supports the educational institution.

Greenview Council provides support to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Gunby Ranch Golf Club
The Gunby Ranch Golf Club course is known for its nature-like atmosphere, warm hospitality, and community hub. To celebrate its 50th Anniversary, an event will be held to showcase the course and all the hard work and upgrades made by dedicated volunteers in the community. Greenview Council approved a $2,000.00 sponsorship and a $500.00 in-kind donation to assist with this event.

Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park receives Greenview Support
Greenview Council approved a $1,000.00 sponsorship and a $500.00 in-kind donation to assist with their 28th Annual Comedy Nite. This local non-profit outdoor recreation area has been serving the community for the past 63 years. Through fundraising events like this, the park received updates and improvements that allow guests to enjoy their experience at Nitehawk year-round.

Greenview Council approved sponsorship to Peace Country Wolves Athletic Club (PCWAC)
With the Alberta Schools Athletics Association Provincial High School X-Country Running Championships coming to Grande Prairie in October 2024, hosted by the Peace Country Wolves Athletic Club, Greenview Council approved a sponsorship of $3,000.000 to help with the costs of hosting the event. This event will welcome up to 850 athletes who hope to qualify, approximately 18-25 of whom are Greenview residents.

Grande Cache Airport Multi-Day Festival 2025 receives Greenview Council approval for collaboration
The Festival Company approached Greenview Administration to leverage its expertise in organizing a large-scale, multi-day, family-friendly festival at the Grande Cache Airport in 2025. This proposed event will generate economic benefits and promote long-term growth. Under Greenview Council’s direction, Administration will proceed to collaborate with local non-profit organizations, increase engagement and participate in the planning and execution of the festival. Once a non-profit group agrees to take the lead, Greenview Administration will pursue grants and other funding opportunities to support the initiative.

Municipal Intern Application receives support from Greenview Council
The Municipal Internship Program is Canada’s longest-running program. It funds municipalities to recruit, train, and develop new and recent graduates as municipal interns. It supports municipalities and planning service agencies in building capacity in the municipal sector by developing recent post-secondary graduates to become future leaders in municipal government. In 2025/2026, Greenview has several substantial projects underway that may provide experience and insight into local government. Greenview Council directed Administration to apply for the 2025 Administrator Stream and approved up to $55,000.00 as Greenview’s contribution towards costs associated with the 18-month Administrator internship.

Grande Cache Tourism & Interpretive Centre Expansion Conceptual Design Request for Quote Awarded
To accommodate a donation from a local Grande Cache resident of a significant amount of taxidermy items, as well as expand the current Grande Cache TIC space, Greenview issued a Request for Quote on July 18, 2024, to gather Conceptional Designs and Pricing. One proposal was received and evaluated, and it met the requirements. Council awarded the Conceptual Design Drawing and Pricing tender to Spa Engineering in the amount of $12,600.00 with funds to come from capital budget project ED24002.
