Adventure Immersion Lab Society receives support for the 2025 Raid the Rockies event
Adventure Immersion Lab Society is a non-profit society that allows people to participate in outdoor adventure and endurance sports while connecting with nature. These events are created for participants to find their way from one point to another, without using GPS, going strictly off maps and a compass. The Grande Cache Recreation Centre will be used as a staging area for racers to start and end each day of the event.
Greenview Approves Sponsorship of the 2025 Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) Golf Classic
The NWP Golf Classic is a fundraising event to help raise funds for purchasing new, leading-edge equipment and tools for students. This equipment will help them receive high-quality education and support throughout their journey. With new, up-to-date equipment, students will become successful in their fields after graduating, bringing highly skilled individuals into the workforce within Northern Alberta. Greenview Council authorized a Bronze Sponsor of $1,500 for this event.
Sponsorship Approved for 2025 Teepee Creek Stampede
The Teepee Creek Stampede is celebrating its 108th year of welcoming many generations to celebrate rodeo, community spirit, and the heritage of one of the region’s most significant events. Greenview Council has long supported this event and approved a $2,500 Gold Buckle Sponsorship for the 2025 event.
DCC Ridgevalley 4H Multi-Club Achievement Day Show and Sale receives Greenview support
The DCC Ridgevalley 4H Multi-Club is hosting its first local show and sale at the Cranberry Lake Rodeo Grounds May 24-25, 2025. This event is an opportunity for members to share the projects they have been working on with their family, friends and community. Greenview Council approved a sponsorship of $7,360.50 to cover the cost of tent rentals that will house the animals and cover the show ring during the event.
Grande Cache Transfer Station Development Tender Awarded
Greenview Council approved the development of a transfer station in Grande Cache as part of the 2025 budget. The tender was posted on Alberta Purchasing Connection on March 24, 2025, and closed on April 22, 2025. Three proposals were received, reviewed and evaluated, all of which meet the mandatory requirements. Council awarded the tender to SUBLATUS Environmental in the amount of $2,730,181.60 (plus GST) with funds to come from the Capital Budget, Project SW20001.
