Policy 4020 Snowplowing of Rural Residential Driveways Update Approved

Policy 4020, Snowplowing of Rural Residential Driveways, has been under review since December 2023 to clarify eligibility criteria, particularly for multi-parcel subdivisions and parcel size requirements. Given the substantial updates, a clean draft was presented for review at the January 15, 2025, Policy Review Committee (PRC) meeting.

Notably, the provision of free snowplowing for seniors and individuals with disabilities has been formally added to the Schedule of Fees. Additionally, Greenview will maintain snowplowing services for all currently registered residents through the remainder of this winter season. Council moved to approve Policy 4020 as presented.

Janitorial Services Tenders Awarded

The current janitorial services contracts for various Greenview buildings are set to expire on February 28, 2025. Administration posted four tender requests for janitorial services on the Alberta Purchasing Connection on November 13, 2024 with a submission deadline of December 9, 2024. These tenders were organized by geographical areas based on the locations of Greenview buildings. Due to having multiple janitorial vendors in Valleyview, Administration allowed proponents to select one or more locations to bid on. This approach was used to address the complexity, size, and number of existing contracts particularly in the Valleyview area. Administration received 20 submissions covering DeBolt, Grande Cache, Grovedale, and Valleyview for evaluation, with 17 meeting the mandatory requirements for consideration. Council awarded the tenders as follows:

  • RFP FM-2024-03 for DeBolt area to Skyblue Services Corp. for a term of three years in the amount of $126,720.00 plus GST, with funds to come from the Facilities Maintenance Contracted Services budget.
