Tender Awarded – Recycling, Waste, and Confidential Shredding
At the March 25, 2025, Council meeting: A Request for Proposal (RFP) for Recycling, Waste, and Confidential Shredding Services was posted on Alberta Purchasing Connection January 27, 2025, and closed February 21, 2025. The scope includes services for all Greenview Administration Buildings and the hamlets and communities within Greenview. The RFP sought proposals for a three-year contract, with the possibility of extending the agreement for an additional two years. Two proposals were received and evaluated. Prairie Disposal was awarded the contract for this service at a price of $700,464.00 plus GST for a three-year term. However, upon reviewing the contract prepared by Administration, Prairie Disposal advised that an input error was submitted (monthly, instead of weekly). Council rescinded Motion 25.172 passed on March 25, 2025, awarding the Request for Proposal for Recycling, Waste, and Confidential Shredding Services to Prairie Disposal Ltd. and further moved to award the tender to the next proponent listed as GFL Environmental Inc. for a three-year term, in the amount of $1,015,393.98 plus GST, with funds to come from the Environmental Services and Facilities Maintenance operational budgets.
