Crews will be starting planned road work on Old High Prairie Road, from northeast of Highway 49 to Township Road 720, covering approximately 9 km, beginning Monday, May 25, 2026 (weather dependent).
The project will use an asphalt alternative called SB90. This liquid blend of asphalt and oil is applied to gravel roads to bind and stabilize the surface. It reduces dust, creates a firm driving surface, and allows for future regrading with minimal material loss. Council has approved this method as an option to achieve an asphalt-like finish.
Construction is scheduled for May 25 – June 2, 2026, subject to weather conditions.
