Evacuation Order Lifted for Area Between Smoky River and Forestry Trunk Road
Greenview has lifted the Evacuation Order for all areas between the Smoky River and the Forestry Trunk Road (FTR), including all access points along the FTR from KM 70 to KM 126, effective June 12, 2025, at 9:37 am.
The Forestry Trunk Road is now open to the public, and both public and industry access to the area may resume. Please use caution when travelling in the area. Wildfire crews continue to monitor the area, and active firefighting operations are still underway.
Although fire conditions have improved significantly, some smoke may remain in the area and could impact air quality. Residents and visitors are encouraged to consider this when planning outdoor activities.
Alberta Wildfire and Greenview Fire-Rescue will continue to monitor the area closely. Any significant changes in conditions will be shared promptly.

An evacuation order remains in place for everyone between the Smoky River and the Forestry Trunk Road, along all points accessed from the Forestry Trunk Road from km 70 to km 126.

This evacuation order is in effect for everyone between the Smoky River and the Forestry Trunk Road, along all points accessed from the Forestry Trunk Road from km 70 to km 126.
There is an out of control wildfire at SW 27-63-3-W6 burning towards the Forestry Trunk Road.
If you are in the affected area, evacuate immediately. Gather pets, important documents and medication, enough food, water and supplies for at least 3 days, and leave now.
