Balance: This program is designed to help older adults increase strength and flexibility for fall prevention, contributing to a person’s ability to remain independent and in their homes for as long as possible. *Available in Valleyview and DeBolt

Community Activity Fee Funding: For those in addiction recovery, healing after a traumatic experience, or experiencing physical or mental health challenges, this program provides access to the Grande Cache Recreation Centre public swimming, public skating, and fitness centre. *Available in Grande Cache

Elder Abuse Workshop: A workshop that teaches the impact of abusive behaviour, how to recognize the warning signs and risk factors of elder abuse, how to respond safely and where to find help.

Green View Baby Book Bags: FCSS purchases and compiles book bags containing books and other resources, which are then distributed by Alberta Health Services to families with newborns.

Home Support: This program provides basic light housekeeping, scheduled transportation for essential needs, and meal preparation for people to maintain independence and quality of life in their homes. Adults with disruptions due to disabilities, pre-/post-operative care or pre-/postnatal care may qualify for assistance.

Just In Case Workshop: A hands-on workshop to prepare the documents you or a family member will need in the event of death, illness, or emergency.

Wheels for Meals: Green View FCSS partners with local senior lodges to deliver meals to clients that are nutritious, promoting health, well-being, and independence. Available in the Hamlet of Grande Cache and Town of Valleyview.

Workshops: Workshops are available on Advanced Planning; preparing documents and information needed when you or a family member has a sudden death or emergency and Caregiver Support; to help caregivers balance their own well-being with the challenges of care-giving.
