Area: The Evacuation Order for the area south of Grovedale has been lifted.
Description: The Evacuation Order for the area south of Township Road 690, between Highway 40 and the BC Border has been lifted. Everyone in this area can return home but must remain prepared to evacuate on short notice.
Instruction: Wildfires remain hazardous in the area. Everyone from all evacuation areas in the MD of Greenview can now return home. Residents, industry, tourists and everyone in the MD of Greenview must remain prepared to evacuate on short notice, if the situation deteriorates or new wildfires threaten a community.
As with entering any area affected by wildfire, Please be aware of the dangers in areas where trees are still standing, both during and after wildfire activity. Root system damage causes trees still upright to be VERY unstable. Even a light wind can cause fire-damaged trees to fall. Keep in mind that even seemingly stable trees might have suffered extensive root damage, making them susceptible to toppling.

NOTE: Be aware wildfire crews and equipment continue to work in the area. This is still an active firefighting operation. Travel safely in the area to keep wildfire firefighters and road crews safe.
