Join Greenview Agricultural Services for an evening all about the application of chemical sprays to control weed infestations!
These evening events will start with a brief introduction from a member of the Agricultural Services team that covers the different programs we have available in Greenview. Vaugh Leuschen, the Regional Account Manager for Corteva, will review common weeds in the area and the parameters surrounding achieving the best control possible. Next, we will move into a presentation from Megan Herauf, the Territory Sales Manager from Envu, who will present information about the chemical TruRange and provide information on that product and how it works.
Vaugh will walk participants through more information about applying chemical sprays, including getting the right mixtures, calculations, and calibrating the sprayers. There will be a demonstration of how to calibrate a sprayer properly.
In Grovedale, this will be demonstrated on the 300-gallon boomless sprayer and the 500-gallon field sprayer, both of which are available to rent at the Grovedale Rental Yard. In Valleyview, we will demonstrate the 500-gallon field sprayer and the 500-gallon boomless sprayer. Both of these are available to rent at the Valleyview Agriculture Services Office.
To finish off the evening, we will have a presentation from Zac Sarling, the Solid Waste Supervisor here at Greenview! Zac will be talking about agricultural plastics recycling in Greenview, how and where to dispose of them, how to properly roll a grain bag (with a demonstration using Greenview’s bag roller, which is available to rent), and how to use the silage tarp and wrap baler. The silage tarp and wrap balers will be available for use at the New Fish Creek and Grovedale Transfer Stations.
