The finance department is responsible for the overall financial management of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16.  The Manager of Finance along with all M.D. staff ensure that all financial requirements are in compliance with the Municipal Government Act and other appropriate legislation.

Services include:

  • Budget management
  • Financial reporting
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Taxation/assessment
  • Cash receipting
  • Utility bills
  • Investment management
  • Monitoring of fixed assets
  • Property/liability insurance coverage

The finance department is also responsible for calculating tax rates which are based on budgets and business plans as approved by the M.D. Council.
