Wastewater Collection & Treatment

Greenview has four wastewater collection systems and six wastewater lagoons which treat the wastewater effluent to ensure we meet Alberta Environment Guidelines. The effluent from the Little Smoky, Sturgeon Heights, Ridgevalley and DeBolt lagoons is discharged on an annual basis. Samples are taken at that time for analysis by a private laboratory. Greenview staff carry out ongoing maintenance to the collection systems wastewater lift stations and the lagoons. The Grovedale and Tony Creek lagoons are evaporative lagoons that do not require an annual discharge. Grovedale lagoon was upgraded in 2016/2017 to include a septage receiving station (SRS).

To gain access to a Greenview lagoon Customers are asked to call the Valleyview office during office hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday) at 780-524-7600.
