Leonard Street hydrant repair is now complete and the water has been turned back on

The hydrant repair has now been completed and the water to the affected addresses has now been turned back on. Please flush cold taps for approximately 10 minutes, until water runs clear. Water is safe for consumption and no boil water advisory will be issued.

The crew is just waiting for the concrete to set and they hope to have the water turned on shortly. Thank you for your continued patience.

We anticipate that hydrant repairs on Leonard Street will be completed and that water will be turned back on around 6:00 pm tonight to the affected homes at 11219 – 11356 & 11341-11353 Leonard Street and 11500-11530 Manning Cres.

Once the water has been turned back on, please flush cold taps for approximately 10 minutes, until water runs clear. Water will be safe for consumption and no boil water advisory will be issued.

Please be advised that the water will be shut to the following houses to complete hydrant repairs on Leonard Street:

11219 – 11356 & 11341-11353 Leonard Street and

11500-11530 Manning Cres. The map of houses affected is provided below.

 

Water will be turned off for approximately 3-5 hours to complete repairs.  Please watch for further updates and thank you for your patience.

To finish hydrant repairs tonight on Leonard Street, crews must shut off the water at approximately 5:00 pm to the following addresses:  11354 -11370 & 11339 -11353 Leonard Street.
