MD of Greenview #16 – FIRE ADVISORY – EFFECTIVE July 29, 2024 at 4:00 pm
The MD of Greenview Issues Fire Advisory for the areas of the MD of Greenview (Valleyview and DeBolt area – see maps) outside of the Forest Protection Area.
Fire Advisory: A fire advisory is in effect for the areas outside of the Forest Protection Areas within Greenview due to continuing hot and dry conditions.
Safe wood campfires are allowed and should be within a metal, brick or rock fire ring.
They are required to:
- be on rock, gravel, sand, or another non-combustible surface that extends at least one metre around the fire
- have a responsible person in attendance to keep the fire under control at all times and extinguish it before leaving
- have enough water on site to extinguish the fire
