MD of Greenview deactivates Second State of Local Emergency

MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF GREENVIEW NO. 16 MEDIA RELEASE

Greenview Declares a State of Local Emergency

Due to the unprecedented spring thaw, the MD of Greenview has declared a second State of Local Emergency in the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 in efforts to respond to the extraordinary flooding and damage to municipal infrastructure.

For the duration of this emergency Greenview crews and contractors will continue to work to minimize risk to the travelling public.

The safety of our travelling public, residents, and communities remain our top priority. All updates regarding our response to the flooding will be posted on our website as they become available. A current list of road closures is posted on our website here: https://mdgreenview.ab.ca/blog/public-notice-road-washouts-and-closures/ . Please note that this is a fluid list, which will be updated daily.
