Compliance Certificates

What is a Compliance Certificate?
The purpose of a Compliance Certificate is to ensure that buildings are located on your property within the established guidelines of the Land Use Bylaw 17-779.

Any development constructed after July 1, 1994 for which no Development Permit has been issued will be considered non-conforming and no compliance certificate will be issued until an approved Development Permit has been obtained.

What are the fees for a Compliance Certificate?
Compliance Certificates may be issued subject to the Schedule of Fees upon a written request to the Planning & Development Department.

What is a A Real Property Report?
Real Property Report is a legal document which clearly illustrates the location of significant visible improvements relative to the property lines.

A current Real Property Report must be included with the Compliance Certificate request.
